ARMTED Community Guidelines

ARMTED is a community for people, businesses, shooting ranges, clubs, organizations and other participants connected with shooting sports, firearms and related interests.
These Community Guidelines establish the standards that apply to participation in ARMTED.
They apply together with the Terms of Service and, where relevant, the:
- Listing Policy;
- Firearms Listing Policy;
- Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy;
- Booking Terms;
- Partners Terms; and
- applicable jurisdiction-specific rules and supplements.
These Guidelines apply to conduct and content on ARMTED, including profiles, posts, comments, photographs, videos, groups, events, reviews, ratings, Listings, messages, business profiles and other Services where relevant.
The examples below are intended to explain ARMTED’s rules but are not exhaustive.
Conduct does not become acceptable merely because it is not specifically mentioned in these Guidelines.
1. General Standard
Use ARMTED lawfully, responsibly and in a way that does not materially harm other users, third parties or the integrity of the platform.
You are responsible for:
- content you publish;
- information you provide;
- communications you send;
- Listings you create;
- businesses or organizations you represent;
- activities conducted through your account; and
- compliance with laws applicable to your activities.
ARMTED may take action against content or conduct that:
- violates applicable law;
- violates these Guidelines;
- violates the Terms of Service or another ARMTED policy;
- infringes third-party rights;
- threatens safety;
- facilitates fraud;
- abuses ARMTED functionality;
- undermines platform integrity; or
- creates a material legal, security, safety or community risk.
2. Lawful Firearms Content Is Allowed
ARMTED is designed for the shooting and firearms community.
The mere depiction or discussion of:
- firearms;
- shooting sports;
- ranges;
- hunting;
- collecting;
- historical firearms;
- military history;
- firearm technology;
- lawful training;
- lawful ownership; or
- lawful firearms-related businesses
is not prohibited merely because it involves weapons or firearms.
ARMTED does not treat lawful firearms-related content as inherently violent or abusive.
However, firearms-related content remains subject to all other ARMTED rules and applicable law.
In particular, the presence of firearms content does not permit:
- unlawful threats;
- encouragement of criminal violence;
- unlawful transactions;
- instructions intended to facilitate serious criminal conduct;
- evasion of legally required firearms procedures; or
- other conduct prohibited by ARMTED policies.
3. Threats and Violence
Do not use ARMTED to threaten, encourage, organize or facilitate unlawful violence against another person or group.
Prohibited content or conduct may include:
- credible threats of physical harm;
- threats involving firearms or other weapons;
- offers to carry out violence;
- encouraging another person to attack an identified individual;
- coordinating an unlawful violent attack;
- glorifying an ongoing act of serious unlawful violence in a manner intended to encourage imitation;
- targeting another user with violent intimidation; or
- using ARMTED to facilitate criminal violent activity.
Context matters.
Content concerning:
- shooting competitions;
- training;
- hunting;
- historical events;
- fictional works;
- news;
- education;
- self-defence law;
- firearms safety; or
- lawful sporting activity
is not prohibited solely because violence or weapons are discussed or depicted.
ARMTED may nevertheless restrict content where context indicates a credible safety risk.
4. Harassment and Bullying
Do not use ARMTED to seriously or repeatedly harass another person.
Prohibited conduct may include:
- repeated unwanted abusive contact;
- targeted intimidation;
- coordinated harassment;
- threats;
- degrading attacks directed at a specific person;
- encouraging others to target a person;
- stalking behavior;
- publishing private information to facilitate harassment;
- repeated attempts to contact a person who has clearly indicated that contact is unwanted; or
- using multiple accounts to continue harassment after being blocked.
Ordinary disagreement, criticism, argument or negative opinion is not automatically harassment.
ARMTED may consider:
- severity;
- frequency;
- context;
- intent;
- power imbalance;
- whether contact was unwanted;
- threats; and
- likely harm.
5. Hate and Dehumanizing Conduct
Do not use ARMTED to unlawfully attack or dehumanize people based on protected characteristics.
Prohibited conduct may include severe attacks, calls for exclusion, threats or dehumanizing statements directed at people because of characteristics protected under applicable law.
Historical, political, educational, journalistic or documentary discussion of hateful ideologies or language may be permitted where the context does not promote unlawful hatred or violence.
ARMTED may restrict content where necessary to comply with applicable law or protect users.
6. Sexual Content and Exploitation
ARMTED is not intended to be a pornography or sexual-content platform.
Do not publish:
- pornography;
- explicit sexual acts;
- sexual exploitation;
- non-consensual intimate material;
- voyeuristic sexual material;
- sexual content involving minors;
- sexual solicitation involving minors; or
- other unlawful sexually explicit material.
ARMTED may also restrict sexually explicit content that is technically lawful but incompatible with the intended purpose of the platform.
Educational, historical, medical or documentary material may be assessed in context.
7. Child Safety
ARMTED has zero tolerance for sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
You must not use ARMTED to:
- create;
- upload;
- distribute;
- request;
- promote;
- facilitate; or
- link to
child sexual abuse material or other unlawful sexual exploitation of minors.
You must not use ARMTED to groom, sexually solicit or exploit a minor.
ARMTED may immediately restrict accounts, preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with competent authorities where required or permitted by law.
8. Suicide and Self-Harm
Do not use ARMTED to encourage, celebrate or actively assist suicide or serious self-harm.
Content discussing:
- recovery;
- prevention;
- personal experiences;
- news;
- education; or
- support
may be permitted.
ARMTED may restrict content that creates a serious or immediate safety concern.
9. Fraud and Scams
Do not use ARMTED to defraud or materially deceive other users.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- fake Listings;
- knowingly false claims about products or services;
- payment scams;
- phishing;
- requesting account credentials;
- impersonating a trusted business;
- advance-fee scams;
- fraudulent fundraising;
- fake investment opportunities;
- knowingly using stolen payment credentials;
- fraudulent refund or chargeback activity; or
- coordinated schemes intended to obtain money, goods, credentials or personal data through deception.
ARMTED may restrict an account before financial loss occurs where there are reasonable fraud indicators.
10. Impersonation and False Identity
Do not impersonate another person, business, organization or public entity in a misleading manner.
You must not:
- create an account pretending to be another person;
- falsely claim to represent a business;
- create a misleading copy of another user’s profile;
- use another person’s identity without authorization;
- falsely claim ARMTED verification;
- falsely represent yourself as ARMTED staff; or
- use names, logos or profile elements with the intention of misleading other users about identity or affiliation.
Parody, commentary or fan accounts may be permitted where they are sufficiently clear and do not otherwise violate ARMTED rules.
11. Privacy, Doxxing and Personal Information
Respect other people’s privacy.
Do not publish another person’s private or sensitive information where doing so is unlawful, abusive or creates a meaningful safety risk.
This may include:
- private home addresses;
- private telephone numbers;
- private email addresses;
- identification-document numbers;
- financial information;
- authentication credentials;
- private medical information;
- precise real-time location;
- private communications;
- personal documents; or
- other non-public information.
Publishing information with the purpose of enabling harassment, intimidation, fraud or physical harm is prohibited.
Information that is legitimately public may still be restricted where it is republished in an abusive context intended to facilitate harm.
12. Private Messages
Private messaging must not be used to:
- threaten;
- harass;
- scam;
- spam;
- distribute illegal content;
- unlawfully solicit regulated transactions;
- impersonate others;
- distribute malware;
- conduct phishing; or
- otherwise violate these Guidelines.
Private messages are not public content.
ARMTED does not routinely publish private conversations and does not treat them as ordinary public User Content.
However, messages may be reviewed or processed where:
- a participant reports them;
- fraud or abuse is suspected;
- security requires investigation;
- enforcement is necessary;
- applicable law requires action; or
- another lawful basis exists under the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
13. Spam
Do not use ARMTED primarily to distribute unwanted or repetitive content.
Spam may include:
- repetitive unsolicited messages;
- bulk messaging;
- repeated substantially identical posts;
- irrelevant promotional replies;
- excessive repetitive links;
- automated account creation;
- repetitive Listings intended to dominate search;
- misleading engagement bait;
- deceptive traffic-generation techniques; or
- other behavior that materially degrades the Services.
ARMTED may remove spam and restrict accounts engaged in systematic spam activity.
14. Artificial Engagement and Platform Manipulation
Do not artificially manipulate ARMTED systems.
You must not:
- buy or sell fake followers;
- artificially generate likes, views or reactions;
- coordinate fake engagement;
- use bots to inflate activity;
- manipulate ratings or reviews;
- create fake accounts to influence ranking;
- manipulate reports;
- manipulate search;
- manipulate recommendation systems;
- manipulate promotion statistics; or
- attempt to create misleading impressions of popularity or trust.
ARMTED may disregard or remove artificial activity and adjust affected metrics.
15. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews and ratings should reflect genuine experience or legitimate opinion.
Do not:
- publish fake reviews;
- review yourself through another account;
- coordinate false positive reviews;
- coordinate false negative reviews;
- offer compensation for deceptive reviews;
- threaten negative reviews to obtain unrelated benefits; or
- manipulate ratings through fake accounts.
Negative opinions are permitted when they reflect a genuine experience and do not otherwise violate ARMTED rules.
ARMTED may remove or hide reviews where there is evidence of manipulation, abuse or policy violations.
16. Intellectual Property
Only publish content that you have the right to publish.
Do not knowingly upload or distribute content that infringes:
- copyright;
- trademarks;
- design rights;
- trade secrets;
- image rights;
- publicity rights; or
- other intellectual-property or related rights.
Finding a photograph, video or text on the Internet does not automatically give you permission to upload it to ARMTED.
This is particularly important because User Content may be subject to the licence granted to ARMTED under the Terms of Service.
By uploading photographs or videos, you must have sufficient rights to provide them and grant ARMTED the applicable licence.
Additional rules and complaint procedures are contained in the Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy.
17. Photographs and Videos
Photographs and videos published through ARMTED must comply with these Guidelines.
Do not upload media that:
- you are not entitled to publish;
- unlawfully violates someone’s privacy;
- contains prohibited sexual content;
- contains unlawful threats;
- promotes serious criminal activity;
- deliberately misrepresents an item in a Listing;
- contains malware or malicious payloads; or
- otherwise violates ARMTED policies.
Content depicting ordinary lawful firearms, shooting ranges, competitions, training, hunting or collections is permitted subject to applicable law and these Guidelines.
Eligible photographs and videos may be used by ARMTED under the User Content licence contained in the Terms of Service, including where applicable in ARMTED catalogues and ARMTED promotional materials.
18. Illegal Content
Do not use ARMTED to publish, distribute or facilitate content that is illegal under applicable law.
Because ARMTED operates across multiple jurisdictions, content may be lawful in one jurisdiction but unlawful in another.
ARMTED may therefore:
- restrict content geographically;
- remove content;
- prevent publication;
- require additional information;
- limit distribution; or
- otherwise take action
where necessary to comply with applicable law.
The fact that ARMTED has not detected or removed content does not mean that the content is lawful.
19. Criminal Activity
Do not use ARMTED to knowingly organize, facilitate or materially assist serious criminal activity.
Prohibited uses may include:
- fraud;
- trafficking in illegal goods;
- stolen-property schemes;
- unlawful weapons activity;
- distribution of malware;
- theft of credentials;
- extortion;
- serious threats;
- unlawful violent activity; or
- other criminal conduct.
General discussion of criminal law, crime news, history or public events is not prohibited merely because criminal conduct is discussed.
20. Firearms and Regulated Items
ARMTED serves a firearms-related community, but use of the platform does not authorize activities prohibited by law.
Users must comply with all applicable rules concerning:
- possession;
- sale;
- advertising;
- transfer;
- acquisition;
- manufacture;
- modification;
- transportation;
- import;
- export;
- licensing;
- registration;
- background checks;
- required intermediaries;
- age; and
- other regulation of firearms, ammunition or related items.
Do not use ARMTED to knowingly circumvent such requirements.
In particular, do not:
- knowingly arrange an unlawful firearm transfer;
- knowingly evade a required licensed intermediary;
- knowingly evade a required background check;
- knowingly evade registration or permit requirements;
- misrepresent the legal classification of a firearm;
- conceal material information to evade a legal restriction;
- falsely claim to possess a required licence;
- knowingly advertise an item where such advertising is prohibited; or
- use ARMTED to facilitate conduct you know is unlawful.
Detailed rules concerning Listings and regulated products are contained in the Listing Policy and Firearms Listing Policy.
21. Instructions Facilitating Serious Illegal Conduct
ARMTED may restrict content that provides operational instructions where the apparent purpose is to materially facilitate serious unlawful harm.
Context is important.
Technical, historical, educational, sporting, maintenance, repair or safety information concerning firearms is not prohibited merely because it is technical.
However, ARMTED may restrict instructions whose primary purpose is to enable:
- criminal violence;
- unlawful circumvention of firearms laws;
- creation of prohibited weapons;
- serious sabotage;
- terrorism;
- or another serious criminal act.
22. Listings
Listings must comply with:
- these Community Guidelines;
- the Terms of Service;
- the Listing Policy;
- the Firearms Listing Policy;
- applicable jurisdiction-specific supplements; and
- applicable law.
These Guidelines do not determine every category of item that may or may not be listed.
ARMTED may prohibit a Listing category even where the underlying item is lawful.
The fact that ARMTED technically permits a Listing to be created does not constitute legal approval of that Listing.
23. Stolen, Counterfeit and Fraudulent Goods
Do not knowingly use ARMTED to advertise or promote:
- stolen goods;
- counterfeit goods;
- fraudulently represented goods;
- goods you have no authority to offer; or
- products intentionally misrepresented as to origin or authenticity.
ARMTED may request additional information where there is a credible ownership, authenticity or fraud concern.
24. Circumvention
Do not circumvent ARMTED restrictions or enforcement.
This includes:
- creating new accounts after suspension;
- using another person’s account to bypass restrictions;
- disguising location to avoid platform restrictions;
- intentionally miscategorizing content;
- modifying prohibited material solely to evade moderation;
- using multiple accounts to continue harassment;
- moving prohibited activity into private messages;
- bypassing technical restrictions;
- using business profiles to avoid personal-account sanctions; or
- helping another person evade enforcement.
Circumvention may result in additional restrictions or termination.
25. Security and Malicious Activity
Do not interfere with ARMTED’s systems or security.
You must not:
- distribute malware;
- distribute malicious links;
- conduct phishing;
- attempt unauthorized access;
- attempt credential theft;
- probe systems without authorization;
- exploit security vulnerabilities;
- bypass authentication;
- interfere with logging;
- interfere with security controls;
- overload the Services;
- conduct denial-of-service attacks; or
- attempt to compromise another user’s account.
Suspected security vulnerabilities should be reported to ARMTED through the designated contact channel.
26. Scraping, Bots and Unauthorized Automation
Do not use automated tools to misuse ARMTED.
Unless expressly permitted by ARMTED or applicable law, you must not:
- scrape user profiles;
- scrape Listings;
- scrape the ARMTED catalogue;
- systematically download photographs or videos;
- harvest contact information;
- operate unauthorized bots;
- automate messages;
- automate fake interactions;
- bypass technical rate limits;
- use unauthorized APIs; or
- systematically copy ARMTED databases.
Technical restrictions are also governed by the Terms of Service.
27. Business and Organization Profiles
If you create, claim or manage a business, shooting range, club, organization or other entity, you must have authority to do so.
Do not:
- falsely claim ownership;
- falsely claim to be an administrator;
- intentionally publish false business information;
- misrepresent licences or qualifications;
- impersonate another business;
- manipulate business reviews;
- misuse customer information; or
- use business functionality to evade restrictions imposed on another account.
ARMTED may require verification of authority.
28. Groups and Events
Groups and events must comply with the same standards as other ARMTED content.
Do not create groups or events primarily intended to:
- coordinate unlawful conduct;
- facilitate harassment;
- organize scams;
- promote serious unlawful violence;
- distribute prohibited content; or
- circumvent other ARMTED restrictions.
Group administrators and event organizers may be responsible for conduct performed through functionality they control where provided by applicable ARMTED rules.
ARMTED may freeze, restrict or remove groups or events where necessary.
29. Booking Misuse
Where Booking is available, do not deliberately misuse Booking functionality.
Prohibited conduct may include:
- fraudulent reservations;
- knowingly fictitious bookings;
- systematic reservations intended solely to block availability;
- deliberately false availability information;
- impersonating another customer;
- impersonating a Provider;
- abuse of cancellation systems;
- manipulation of attendance records; or
- use of Booking to facilitate unlawful activity.
ARMTED may restrict Booking without restricting the user’s entire account.
30. Advertising and Commercial Promotion by Users
Commercial activity must use functionality permitted by ARMTED.
Users do not have an unrestricted right to advertise within:
- comments;
- messages;
- groups;
- posts;
- reviews; or
- other community areas.
ARMTED may distinguish between ordinary User Content and:
- advertising;
- sponsored content;
- business promotion;
- affiliate content;
- solicitation; or
- other commercial communications.
ARMTED may require commercial content to use designated Paid Services or business functionality.
31. Misleading Commercial Content
Do not publish commercial content that is materially deceptive.
This includes:
- fake discounts;
- false scarcity claims;
- intentionally false product characteristics;
- false business credentials;
- fraudulent promotional claims;
- fake endorsements;
- manipulated testimonials; or
- other materially misleading commercial statements.
Business users remain responsible for advertising and consumer-law requirements applicable to them.
32. Dangerous or Unsafe Conduct
ARMTED may restrict content that encourages clearly unsafe conduct where the context creates a serious risk of harm.
This does not mean ARMTED prohibits legitimate:
- firearms training;
- shooting sports;
- competitions;
- firearms maintenance;
- hunting;
- tactical training;
- historical demonstrations; or
- other lawful activities.
ARMTED may consider whether content:
- depicts ordinary lawful activity;
- is educational;
- encourages responsible safety practices;
- encourages reckless behavior; or
- creates an identifiable risk of serious harm.
33. False Information
ARMTED does not generally prohibit users merely for being incorrect.
However, content may be restricted where false or misleading information is used to:
- commit fraud;
- impersonate another person;
- create a fraudulent Listing;
- falsely claim legal authority or licensing;
- manipulate users;
- cause material safety risks;
- falsify business information; or
- otherwise violate another ARMTED rule.
ARMTED does not undertake to determine the truth of every statement published by users.
34. Enforcement
ARMTED may take proportionate action where content or conduct violates these Guidelines, another ARMTED policy or applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, ARMTED may:
- take no action;
- issue a warning;
- request additional information;
- request correction;
- label content;
- reduce visibility;
- exclude content from recommendations;
- exclude content from search;
- restrict geographic availability;
- hide content;
- remove content;
- reject publication;
- disable comments;
- restrict messaging;
- restrict Listings;
- restrict Booking;
- end promotion;
- restrict business functionality;
- require verification;
- suspend features;
- temporarily suspend an account; or
- terminate an account.
ARMTED is not required to apply these measures in a fixed sequence unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Serious violations may result in immediate action.
35. Factors Considered in Enforcement
ARMTED may consider circumstances such as:
- severity;
- intent;
- context;
- frequency;
- previous violations;
- actual harm;
- potential harm;
- fraud indicators;
- safety risks;
- attempts to conceal activity;
- attempts to evade enforcement;
- legal requirements;
- cooperation with ARMTED; and
- other relevant circumstances.
Similar conduct may result in different action where circumstances differ.
36. Preventive Action
ARMTED does not have to wait for actual harm to occur before acting.
Where there are reasonable grounds to believe that content or activity presents a significant:
- safety risk;
- fraud risk;
- security risk;
- legal risk;
- abuse risk; or
- platform-integrity risk,
ARMTED may impose temporary or permanent protective measures subject to applicable law.
37. No Right to Distribution
Publication does not create a right to recommendation or distribution.
ARMTED may allow content to remain available while:
- excluding it from Pulse;
- excluding it from recommendations;
- reducing its distribution;
- excluding it from search highlights;
- making it ineligible for promotion; or
- otherwise limiting discovery.
A user does not acquire a right to:
- a particular audience;
- a particular ranking;
- a particular number of views;
- a particular level of reach; or
- recommendation by ARMTED.
38. Paid Content Is Still Subject to These Guidelines
Paying ARMTED for a promotion or other Paid Service does not exempt content from moderation.
ARMTED may restrict or remove promoted content that violates these Guidelines.
Payment does not guarantee:
- approval;
- continued publication;
- continued promotion;
- recommendation;
- any specific audience; or
- commercial success.
Refund rights, if any, are governed by the Paid Services Terms and applicable law.
39. Reporting Content and Users
Users may report content or conduct using ARMTED reporting functionality.
Depending on the relevant Service, reports may concern:
- profiles;
- posts;
- comments;
- reposts;
- Listings;
- events;
- groups;
- businesses;
- reviews;
- messages;
- photographs;
- videos; or
- other content.
ARMTED may provide categories helping users identify the nature of a report.
A report does not guarantee removal or a particular enforcement outcome.
40. Illegal Content Notices
Where applicable, ARMTED may provide a separate mechanism for reporting allegedly illegal content.
A notice may require information such as:
- identification of the content;
- location of the content;
- explanation of why it is alleged to be illegal;
- relevant jurisdiction or legal basis where known;
- contact information where required; and
- other information necessary to evaluate the notice.
ARMTED may distinguish between:
- ordinary community reports; and
- formal notices alleging illegal content.
41. Abuse of Reporting Systems
Do not misuse ARMTED’s reporting systems.
Prohibited conduct may include:
- knowingly false reports;
- coordinated mass reporting intended to silence another user;
- repeated reports without any genuine basis;
- reporting users solely because of personal disputes;
- using reports to gain commercial advantage; or
- attempts to manipulate moderation outcomes.
Repeated or serious abuse of reporting systems may itself result in enforcement.
42. Blocking Users
ARMTED may provide functionality allowing users to block other users.
Blocking may affect:
- direct communication;
- visibility;
- interactions;
- recommendations; or
- other functionality.
You must not use additional accounts or third parties to circumvent a valid block for purposes of continuing unwanted contact or harassment.
43. Appeals
Where ARMTED provides or is legally required to provide an appeal mechanism, eligible users may challenge specified moderation decisions.
An appeal may result in:
- the decision being upheld;
- the decision being modified;
- content being restored;
- restrictions being removed;
- sanctions being reduced; or
- another appropriate outcome.
Submitting an appeal does not automatically suspend the original decision.
Repeated abusive appeals may be restricted where permitted by applicable law.
44. Restoration Does Not Guarantee Previous Reach
If content is restored after review or appeal, ARMTED does not guarantee restoration of:
- previous ranking;
- previous recommendation position;
- missed views;
- missed interactions;
- historical reach;
- hypothetical enquiries;
- hypothetical bookings;
- hypothetical sales; or
- previous promotional effects,
except where applicable law requires a specific remedy.
45. Moderation Does Not Mean Endorsement
The fact that ARMTED:
- reviews;
- approves;
- restores;
- verifies;
- recommends;
- promotes; or
- takes no action against
content does not mean that ARMTED guarantees or legally certifies the content.
Moderation decisions are platform-governance decisions.
Users remain responsible for their own conduct and legal compliance.
46. No Guarantee That Every Violation Will Be Detected
ARMTED may use:
- user reports;
- manual moderation;
- automated systems;
- machine learning;
- rules;
- technical signals; and
- other mechanisms
to identify violations.
ARMTED does not guarantee that every violation will be detected before publication or before harm occurs.
The continued presence of content does not mean that ARMTED has verified or approved it.
47. Evidence and Retention
ARMTED may preserve information concerning reported or removed content where reasonably necessary and legally permitted for purposes including:
- appeals;
- enforcement;
- fraud prevention;
- security;
- repeat-offender analysis;
- legal compliance;
- intellectual-property disputes;
- responding to authorities;
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims; and
- internal audit.
Preserved content does not need to remain publicly visible.
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
48. Cooperation With Authorities
ARMTED may preserve or disclose information and take appropriate action where required by:
- applicable law;
- a binding court order;
- a valid governmental request;
- regulatory requirements; or
- another legally binding process.
ARMTED may also take legally permitted action in response to serious threats, fraud or security incidents.
49. Different Rules in Different Jurisdictions
ARMTED operates internationally.
Legal requirements and permitted content may differ between jurisdictions.
ARMTED may therefore:
- apply regional restrictions;
- apply country-specific rules;
- apply state-specific rules;
- require jurisdiction-specific declarations;
- restrict Services geographically;
- restrict particular Listing categories; or
- remove content only in particular territories.
A rule or feature available in one market does not create a right to the same treatment in another.
50. Changes to These Guidelines
ARMTED may update these Guidelines as:
- Services change;
- new functionality is introduced;
- risks evolve;
- community behavior evolves;
- moderation systems improve;
- laws change;
- regulatory requirements change; or
- ARMTED determines that additional rules are reasonably necessary to protect the platform and its users.
Minor changes may be introduced without renewed acceptance where permitted.
Where a change requires renewed acceptance or another form of notice under applicable law or the Terms of Service, ARMTED will apply the relevant procedure.
These Guidelines do not create an obligation for ARMTED to maintain any particular Service, moderation rule or enforcement practice indefinitely.
51. Relationship With Other ARMTED Rules
These Guidelines establish general community standards.
More specific rules may apply to particular Services.
In particular:
- Listings are additionally governed by the Listing Policy;
- firearms and regulated-item Listings are additionally governed by the Firearms Listing Policy;
- Paid Services are governed by the Paid Services Terms;
- Booking is governed by the Booking Terms;
- business and organization use may be governed by the Partners Terms;
- intellectual-property complaints are governed by the Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy.
Where a more specific ARMTED policy imposes stricter requirements concerning the relevant Service, the more specific rule applies.
52. No Exhaustive List of Prohibited Conduct
ARMTED cannot predict every form of abuse, fraud, manipulation or harmful conduct.
Accordingly, the examples in these Guidelines do not constitute an exhaustive list.
Subject to applicable law, ARMTED may take action against conduct not expressly listed where it reasonably determines that the conduct:
- materially harms users;
- materially threatens safety;
- facilitates unlawful activity;
- constitutes fraud or abuse;
- undermines the integrity of ARMTED;
- attempts to circumvent ARMTED rules;
- materially interferes with other users’ ability to use the Services; or
- creates another significant legal, security or platform-integrity risk.
ARMTED will apply any notice, statement-of-reasons or appeal requirements imposed by applicable law.
